Push key in and rotate the key clockwise to open the safe.<\/p>\n<p>Step Two: Locate the battery cover on the front wall and remove by pressing and sliding up.<\/p>\n<p>Step Three: Carefully pull out the battery snap inside the battery compartment, and connect an Alkaline 9V battery to the connector. Be sure to snap the battery in the correct orientation.<\/p>\n<p>Step Four: When the battery is snapped in you will hear a short welcome tone and the keypad will light up.<\/p>\n<p>Step Five: Slide the battery into the compartment. This allows the scanner to read where most of the fingerprint data is located.<\/li>\n<li>Adjust your finger slightly between scans for increased accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Excessive moisture, lotions, or dirt will affect your fingerprint and may cause inaccurate sensor reading.<\/li>\n<li>To use the scanner, the safe does not have to be awake. Simply scan any enrolled fingerprint to open.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s enroll the first two prints in the safe. You have have 20 available slots and you can also try your thumb as it has more surface area to read.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip!<\/strong> When adding additional users after the admin prints the keypad will flash RED and the LED around the scanner will illuminate YELLOW. This is prompting the scan of an admin print to authorize the request to enroll a new user.<\/p>\n<p>Step One: Open the safe lid, and wake the safe by touching the front of the keypad so all the keys light up RED.<\/p>\n<p>Step Two: While safe is awake, quickly tap the program button to get keypad flashing RED, and the LED around the scanner to illuminate YELLOW. If the Status LED glows GREEN, the sound is ON; if the Status LED glows RED, the sound if OFF.<\/p>\n<p>Toggle Interior Light: Press and hold keys &#8216;4&#8217; and &#8216;6&#8217; together for 3 seconds to toggle the interior light to OFF, ON for 20 seconds, or ON for 60 seconds. Biometric technology is dependent on our anatomical information, and in some cases different fingers may program better than others. For example, your index finger may not register very well, but your thumb may contain higher detail levels and have a much higher success rate. We suggest to try different fingers including your thumb and see if you have better results.<\/p>\n<p>Tip 2! During the 5 scan programming process for each finger, slightly repositioning your finger after each scan will store more information and increase your success rate.<\/p>\n<p>Tip 3! To increase success rate register the same finger multiple times.
